You will be essential in collecting and evaluating data from rival websites and applications, improving data outputs, and helping our backend systems develop as a Software Developer with a focus on Competitive Intelligence.
The competitive analysis team’s goal is to help internal product teams outperform the competition in a variety of international markets by giving them access to the best competitive insights available.
Being a part of a significant and high-priority workstream and collaborating with other developers and product analysts to create automated solutions to gather competitive data and insights will be a benefit of this employment.
What Will You Do
- Create automated programs to retrieve information and pictures from applications and websites.
- creative methods and instruments for expediting data extraction procedures.
- Extract data, analyze it, and compare it to gain useful insights.
- Participate in the backend system’s design and development.
- Utilize datasets to automate the generation of important insights.
- Possibility of participating in the frontend development workstream later on.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related technical field required.
- Approximately 1 year of experience in Web Scraping or Crawling utilizing frameworks such as Scrapy, Selenium, Beautiful Soup, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with various crawling methods, concepts, and strategies to bypass Bot Detection techniques.
- Proficiency in working with different databases, ranging from RDBMS to SQL.
- Knowledge or experience in Web RestFul APIs/Microservices Development.
- Understanding of frontend development concepts and past experience on AWS is a plus.
- Self-motivated individual capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated passion for solving complex problems through logical and analytical thinking.
