Responsibilities:
- Together with product managers and user experience designers, you will be in charge of the front-end development of our products and create top-notch user experiences.
- To maintain LinkedIn at the forefront of modern technology, you will write state-of-the-art code and apply cutting-edge innovations.
- Large-scale, cross-functional, and crucial programs for the entire organization will be initiated, planned, and carried out under your technical supervision. Find, seize, and effectively spread opportunities to raise engineering productivity.
Basic Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding
- 2 or more years of practical experience developing websites using jQuery, object-oriented JavaScript, semantic HTML, and CSS.
- Knowledge of Java backend service development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Creating clean JavaScript code, including familiarity with debugging tools (Chrome Dev Tools, etc.) and contemporary frameworks (Angular, Ember, and React).
- Understanding of (and enthusiasm for) the newest trends and top front-end architecture techniques, with an emphasis on usability, performance, accessibility, and security.
- Knowledgeable about visual, integration, and unit testing.
- Programming knowledge of JSP and Dust is advantageous.
- Programming proficiency and enthusiasm for progressive, one-page apps (using the Play, Angular, and Backbone frameworks).
