Overview
Cigna International Health is starting a modernization project for its self-service application and portal in order to support the growth of our health businesses worldwide. We are looking for an entry-level software engineer to work with us to design scalable, high-quality microservices and APIs. The ideal applicant will collaborate with the current team to develop technical solutions, write clear code, and guarantee the timely delivery of software solutions that support organizational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Project Completion:
- Carry out software projects with the goal of meeting quality standards, deadlines, and budgets.
- Create solutions by applying the TDD process.
- To make sure that projects are in line with IT strategy and standards, carry out project plans and application designs.
- Development: Work with other senior leads to ensure scalable, secure, and effective solutions by adhering to design concepts and development procedures.
- Operational Efficiency: Optimize engineering operations and boost productivity by using DevSecOps to streamline workflows, tools, and processes.
Requirements
- Strong programming abilities and comprehension of algorithms and data structures.
- One of the following languages is used for programming: Python, NodeJS, Java, Spring Boot, Kotlin,.NET
- Knowledge of the OSI model of software architecture and the concepts of software design.
- Knowledge of key-value storage, databases, SQL, and the HTTP protocol.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- The capacity for teamwork combined with the courage to voice opinions and ideas.
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
