About the Role
As a Software Engineer on Microsoft’s Azure Data Engineering team, you’ll help build and maintain the core platform powering Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft’s unified analytics and data platform.
The engineering team develops large-scale backend infrastructure responsible for compute management, platform reliability, distributed services, and cloud operations. You’ll collaborate with engineers across Azure to solve complex distributed systems challenges while improving platform availability, security, and operational efficiency.
This position offers hands-on experience working with cloud-native technologies, enterprise-scale infrastructure, and high-performance backend systems serving customers across the globe.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend platform services powering Microsoft Fabric.
- Build scalable cloud-native applications capable of supporting millions of users.
- Improve platform reliability, availability, and operational excellence across Azure regions.
