Thierry Delaporte, the CEO of Wipro, stated on Wipro Appoints Aparna Iyer as CFO, “During her 20-year career with Wipro, Aparna Iyer has been a dynamic and visionary strategic partner for our business leaders.”
On Thursday, Wipro Limited, an IT leader, appointed Aparna C Iyer as Chief Financial Officer with immediate effect.
Aparna will report to CEO Thierry Delaporte and will be a part of Wipro’s executive board. The IT firm based in Bangalore mentioned that she will take over from Jatin Dalal, who is leaving the CFO position to explore other career opportunities.
“Aparna is a skilled and results-driven leader. During her 20 years with Wipro, she has been a dynamic, forward-thinking strategic partner for our business leaders”, according to Thierry Delaporte.
Wipro mentioned that Iyer will assume the CFO role on September 22, while Dalal will remain in his position until November 30. Dalal became the CFO in 2015.
So far this year, Wipro’s shares have grown by more than 9%, which is less than the 15% growth in the broad Nifty IT index.
Aparna Iyer joined Wipro in April 2003. “During her 20 years with Wipro, she has held various financial roles, including internal audit, business finance, financial planning and analysis, corporate treasury, and investor relations. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President and CFO of Wipro FullStride Cloud,” the IT firm stated in a regulatory filing.

The company mentioned in a regulatory filing that Iyer will report to the CEO, Thierry Delaporte, and will be a part of Wipro’s executive board.
“I am thrilled to assume the role of CFO at Wipro at this pivotal time,” said Aparna. On Thursday, during a board meeting, Wipro’s board of directors approved Iyer’s appointment, effective from September 22. Source
